Kirsta Hackmeier

About

Kirsta is a dual MPP/MPH student who studies the intersection of healthcare, policy, and coalition building. She is particularly interested in drug policy, harm reduction, Medicaid, and the social determinants of health. Before coming to Berkeley, Kirsta spent four years working in healthcare strategy research in D.C. and California, and a year managing innovation programs for a large union health trust. Outside of class, Kirsta can be found exploring the Bay Area's many hikes and vegan bakeries, and asking if she can pet your dog.
