Andy Peterson has worked at the intersection of education, technology, and media for 25 years. As a Senior Consultant for Digital Learning, Andy provides strategic planning, project management, and training on pedagogy and technology solutions to support education programs at UC Berkeley. He has consulted on the development of online Master’s degree, certificate, and faculty training programs, as well as the implementation of digital learning systems and tools. In addition to his work with the Goldman School of Public Policy, he has served the Center for Teaching & Learning, the School of Social Welfare, the Graduate School of Journalism, the College of Letters & Science, the Office of the President, and various other campus stakeholders.
Prior to his 8 years at UC Berkeley, Andy served as Dean of Education at Expression College for Digital Arts, where he oversaw all operational aspects of six Bachelor of Applied Science degree programs. As National Manager of Learning Technologies for SAE Institute, he was responsible for the leadership, coordination, and promotion of learning technologies across programs at 9 US campuses. His professional background also includes work in educational media with Jim Henson Productions and Skywalker Sound as well as media outreach for the Sierra Club and Human Rights Campaign.
Andy holds a B.S. in Radio/Television/Film from Northwestern University’s School of Communication, and an M.A.Ed. in Digital Technologies for Teaching and Learning from University of San Francisco’s School of Education.
