Eric Wilson is a full stack software engineer who enjoys crafting accessible and reliable applications that solve complex organizational problems.
At GSPP, Eric is responsible for developing custom software solutions that support all other teams. In addition to supporting ExpressionEngine, the GSPP CMS, he has developed RAG-enhanced AI web applications and backend analytical dashboards. Currently, Eric is focused on establishing the GSPP API, which will provide a modern, secure, and fast interface to GSPP domain knowledge to accelerate future application development. Eric's primary programming languages are PHP and JavaScript, but he is also comfortable with Python and Java.
Prior to joining GSPP, Eric was a high school English and Instrumental Music teacher, where he learned how to break down difficult subject matter and communicate it with students from diverse backgrounds. He discovered his curiosity and passion for programming when he developed and deployed a custom VBA Excel application that analyzed students' rubric performances on the English department's writing preassessment.
When he is not programming, Eric enjoys playing music with his bandmates, riding his mountain bikes, and going on road trips with his wife and his dog, Jeffy.
